Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River Announces Winners of the 2015 Photo Contest

BEACH LAKE, PA – Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River is pleased to announce the winners of our first photography contest focused on the outstanding resources of the park and the connection between those resources and the public. Over 50 photographs were submitted between June 1 and October 31, 2015 that captured the unique beauty, opportunities for recreation, and biodiversity that can be found in the Upper Delaware region. Park visitors and local residents were able to enter up to three photographs into each of four categories: Scenic, Recreation, Ecology (plants and animals), and Youth. Entrants in the youth category were under the age of 18.

Judging occurred in December 2015 by a panel that included park Superintendent, Kristina Heister, local photographer, David B. Soete, Eric S. Rowe, Quiet Light Films, and Jordan Lewis, Director, Quiet Light Films. In January 2016, the public was provided the opportunity to vote for the “Peoples’ Choice” winner on Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River’s Facebook page.
