UDC Hires Odell as Secretary

NARROWSBURG – The Upper Delaware Council, Inc. (UDC) announces the hiring of Cindy A. Odell of Honesdale, PA as the non-profit organization’s full-time secretary, effective August 29, 2011.

Odell was selected from a pool of 47 applicants for the position.

Previous employment includes: Leeward Construction of Honesdale, PA where she was a payroll assistant; the County of Sullivan where she worked for the County Clerk’s Office as an Index Clerk an Recording Clerk; and Lander’s River Trips where she worked weekends in the Narrowsburg Campground office.

She is a 1983 graduate of Narrowsburg Central School and earned a 1985 Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from the State University of New York at Cobleskill.

Cindy is married to Michael (Chip) Odell and they have two children, Brittany,
16, and Lauren, 12, both students in the Wayne Highlands School District. She is the daughter of Ed and Doreen Kraus of Narrowsburg, NY.

She is a volunteer coach for the Honesdale Soccer Club and the Honesdale Missy Softball organization. In addition to sports, she enjoys spending time with her family and taking photos.

The UDC has operated since 1988 under a Cooperative Agreement with the National Park Service to coordinate the implementation of the River Management Plan for the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River.
Its voting members are 13 local governments (NY towns and PA townships) that border along the approximately 73-mile Upper Delaware River, along w
ith the State of New York and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The Delaware River Basin Commission is a non-voting member.
