Responses to a survey are being collected through 5 p.m. on September 21 to help guide the process that includes an invitation-only UDC facilitated retreat on October 3.

The survey is divided into three sections: 1) A list of issues to rank as low, medium, or high priority for the UDC to pursue; 2) Questions for discussion and action focusing on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and threats pertaining both to the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River nationally-designated corridor and to the UDC as an organization; and 3) seeking reactions to a UDC draft mission statement and input on workshop activities.

The draft mission statement offered for feedback is: “Cooperatively fostering a vibrant economic and social community through implementation of the Upper Delaware Scenic and Recreational River Management Plan, while conserving, protecting, and enhancing the river corridor’s unique resource values for the enjoyment of present and future generations.”
